At Charlotte Mechanical, we create comfort and reliability for our customers every day. This month, we had the opportunity to help build something just as important— access to a musical education for students across the Charlotte area.
Through our new campaign Building the Beat we’ve partnered with Vera Guitars to support musical education across Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS).
This donation is the second wave of an ongoing partnership between our team and Vera Guitars to support elementary, middle, and high school musical programs in our area.

A music education has been proven to play a vital role in children’s development, sparking creativity and confidence in and out of the classroom. But in some schools, access to instruments is limited. Building the Beat was created to help close that gap by putting new instruments directly into the hands of students who need them the most.
On February 24th, we worked with Vera Guitars to fill the Charlotte Mechanical fleet with brand new instruments like electric basses and acoustic guitars along with accessories like cases and amps. All together, over two dozen instruments were given to support classroom instruction and to inspire the next generation of musicians.
This initiative was designed to strengthen school music programs by providing students with reliable, high-quality instruments that directly support classroom instruction, ensemble performance, and skill development. Through this partnership, we hope to remove barriers to participation and ensure more students have consistent access to the tools they need to explore theircreativity, build confidence, and fully engage in music.

For Dan Dyszelski, CFO and Co-Founder of Charlotte Mechanical, this initiative is especially meaningful. Dan introduced music to his own children early and hopes Building the Beat gives others the same opportunity to discover the joy learning an instrument can bring.
“As a musician myself, and someone who comes from a family of musicians, I’ve seen first hand how powerful music can be in shaping confidence, discipline, and creativity,” said Dan Dyszelski. “We’re an employee-owned company that believes in investing in the future of our community. Partnering with Vera Guitars to support local school music programs is deeply personal for me— it’s about making sure students have the same opportunity to discover what music can mean in their lives.”

As we continue to grow into 2026, we’re proud to invest not only in homes and business across the Carolinas, but in the students, classrooms, and futures of our community. Whether a kindergartener is picking up a ukulele for the first time or a high school senior is rocking out on an electric guitar, we hope Building the Beat sparks a lifelong love of music.
From all of us at Charlotte Mechanical and Vera Guitars, thank you to the educators, students, CMS team, and community partners who make initiatives like this possible. We can’t wait to see— and hear— the impact of Building the Beat!
